Tim Penney came to us in August of 2010 after having last served as youth pastor at FBC Gonzales, Tx. Born and raised in Houston, Tim was called to the ministry at the age of 16, and began pursuing an education that would train him for youth ministry. Therefore the ONLY LOGICAL CHOICE was for him to attend Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Tx.! (Sting 'em Jackets!!). He finished in 1997 with a B.A. in Youth Ministry.
Having already served various churches before, during and after college in a bivocation role, Tim went into full-time youth ministry in 2000.
"I've been blessed with tinier in full-time ministry", Tim says, "having served in Monahans, Gonzales, and now...Cisco". "The Lord has blessed me and my family with wonderful relationships in all the churches we've served. Without hesitation I am happy to say, there is not one church we've served in that I wouldn't feel comfortable going back to and worshiping with right now! We have dear friends to this day in Monahans and Gonzales, and we're already working on some here in Cisco."
Tim is currently furthering his education at HPU by working on their available Master of Arts in Youth Ministry degree. (That's a prayer request by the way!)
